Hi all!
Well, Spring semester is out and the summer session has started! I'm taking a time-consuming math class this summer so I can take more classes next fall and spring. Hopefully by next fall I will be out of community college and headed to HSU for my studio art degree!
Over the past two semesters, I have been taking an animation class. Although most of it was centered around how the animation industry works, how to create stories and characters, etc...I was able to get a few sequences animated from my 3 minute short film. I will probably post that sometime in the near future and plan to continue working on it with my brother helping out in the editing and stuff.
I finally decided to try out a subscription; mainly in the hopes that it will inspire me to take extra time to become better at updating and submitting new work. I also wanted to try out all the features and see if I got get a little more organized.
Last of all, since I have more time for my art this summer, I decided to start a digital portrait series. It's going to be me trying to finish a portrait in the least amount of time, even if it means a couple of minutes over the span of a few days. To start out the series, I'm going to do the main (or favorite) character's of Lora Innes

webcomic "The Dreamer" (
[link]). I've been wanting to do fanart of her comic ever since I first started reading it two years ago! I've already felt the need to turn comic-drawn characters into portraits that show flesh and bone; thus, the digital portrait series begins!
Happy Summer!
